The International Marketplace Coalition will host a “Community Giveback Day” on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. allowing attendees to obtain free masks, pick up free food, register for Census 2020 and receive other educational materials. Gleaners Food Bank will be giving out food, while supplies last, and more than 1,500 free face masks donated by the City of Indianapolis and Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be available.
Attendees will also be able to take advantage of drive-through COVID-19 testing at the Marion County Public Health Department’s westside location (3685 Commercial Drive) next to the parking lot where the event will be held. Pre-registration for testing is required by visiting marionhealth.org/indycovid.
Additional community partners include Association of Venezuelans in Indiana, Ballet Folklorico Mosaicos, Casa de Espana, Haitian Association of Indiana, Immigrant Welcome Center, India Association of Indiana, Indianapolis Recorder, Indy Peruvian Incan Cultural Association, Liberian Association of Indiana and Mabuhay! Philippine Cultural Community.
